About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Resources Engineer to join their forward-thinking, fully remote team. This role focuses on the sustainable management and planning of water resources, addressing challenges related to water supply, flood risk, and environmental protection across various regions. You will undertake complex analyses, develop strategic solutions, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to ensure efficient and responsible water resource utilization. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of water resources, including supply, demand, and quality analysis.
- Develop and implement strategies for water resource management, drought contingency planning, and water conservation.
- Perform hydrological and hydraulic modeling to assess flood risk and design mitigation measures.
- Advise on environmental impact assessments and regulatory compliance related to water usage and discharge.
- Collaborate remotely with government agencies, water authorities, environmental organizations, and project teams.
- Prepare technical reports, policy recommendations, and presentation materials for various audiences.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in water resource management and planning.
- Proven expertise in hydrological modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, MIKE FLOOD) and GIS applications.
- Strong understanding of water law, environmental regulations, and UK water policy .
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex projects effectively in a remote environment .
