About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative and talented Aerospace Design Engineer to join their advanced engineering team in Leeds . This role focuses on the conceptualization, design, and development of cutting-edge aerospace components and systems, contributing to the next generation of aircraft and aerospace technologies. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and technicians to translate complex requirements into practical, high-performance engineering solutions, working in an environment that fosters creativity and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new aerospace components and systems using CAD software.
- Conduct structural analysis, performance simulations, and stress testing on designed components.
- Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production and assembly.
- Research and evaluate new materials and technologies for application in aerospace design.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
Requirements
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in aerospace design and development, with a strong portfolio.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA tools.
- Solid understanding of aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and structural mechanics.
- Experience with material selection and manufacturing processes in the aerospace industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
