About the Role
Our client is seeking a creative and proficient Aerospace Design Engineer to join their innovative team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role involves contributing to the conceptualization, design, and development of novel aerospace components and systems. You will leverage advanced CAD tools and engineering principles to translate requirements into functional, efficient, and safe designs. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop aerospace components and systems using 3D CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Create detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and feasibility studies to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with stress, manufacturing, and systems engineers to ensure design integrity and manufacturability.
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards within the engineering department.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience in aerospace design, preferably with knowledge of aircraft structures or systems.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software and PDM/PLM systems.
- Understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and aerospace standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate design concepts clearly in a hybrid setting in Stoke-on-Trent .
