About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer to join their engineering team in Glasgow . This role involves the design, integration, testing, and certification of electrical systems for a range of aircraft. You will work on complex projects, ensuring that all electrical systems meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance. This is a key position within the Scottish aviation industry , offering the chance to work with innovative technologies and contribute significantly to the development of advanced aircraft for a leading UK aerospace manufacturer .

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical system architecture, including power generation, distribution, and control systems.
Create detailed wiring diagrams, schematics, and interface control documents.
Perform system integration, testing, and validation to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues during development, production, and in-service phases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including avionics, mechanical, and software engineers.
Support certification activities with regulatory authorities such as the EASA and CAA.

Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics Engineering, or a closely related field.
Proven experience in aircraft electrical system design and integration.
Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., SOLIDWORKS Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical).
Strong understanding of power systems, control systems, and EMI/EMC principles.
Familiarity with aerospace standards and certification processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail in Glasgow .
