About the Role

Our client is seeking a certified and experienced Arborist to join their team in Reading . This role is dedicated to the health, safety, and maintenance of trees within various landscapes, including urban, rural, and park settings. You will perform tree inspections, pruning, felling, and planting services, ensuring the longevity and aesthetic appeal of arboreal assets. This position offers a chance to work outdoors, utilizing specialized skills and equipment to care for trees in Berkshire and surrounding areas, promoting healthy urban forestry.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional tree inspections to assess health, structural integrity, and potential hazards.
• Conduct tree pruning, trimming, and shaping according to industry best practices and client needs.
• Safely remove hazardous or unwanted trees, employing climbing and rigging techniques.
• Plant new trees and provide initial care and guidance for establishment.
• Identify tree species, diseases, and pest infestations, recommending appropriate treatment plans.
• Operate and maintain chainsaws, climbing gear, wood chippers, and other arboreal equipment.

Requirements

• Certified Arborist qualification (e.g., RFS, Lantra, ISA).
• Proven practical experience in tree care and maintenance.
• Proficiency in climbing techniques and safe use of arboreal equipment.
• Strong knowledge of tree biology, identification, pests, and diseases.
• Ability to work effectively at heights and in challenging outdoor conditions.
• Valid UK driving license and ability to commute to sites across Reading and Berkshire .
