About the Role

Our client is looking for a certified and experienced Arborist to join their team serving the Sunderland region and surrounding areas. This role is crucial for the health and safety of urban and rural tree populations. You will be responsible for the care, maintenance, and safe removal of trees, employing specialized techniques and equipment. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of arboriculture, strong climbing skills, and a commitment to preserving the natural environment while ensuring public safety. This is a physically demanding yet rewarding role.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform tree climbing, pruning, and dismantling operations safely and efficiently.
• Conduct detailed tree surveys and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
• Provide recommendations for tree care, health management, and species selection.
• Operate chainsaws, chippers, and other arboricultural equipment.
• Respond to emergency calls for tree-related incidents, such as storm damage.

Requirements

• Relevant certification in Arboriculture (e.g., RFS, Lantra).
• Proven experience in professional tree care operations.
• Proficiency in climbing techniques and rigging.
• Knowledge of tree biology, diseases, and pest management.
• A valid UK driving license and ideally, a CSCS card.
