About the Role
Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Arborist to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role involves the care and maintenance of trees, ensuring their health, safety, and aesthetic appeal on various sites. You will be responsible for tree pruning, removal, planting, and providing expert advice on tree management. This is a physically demanding role requiring a strong understanding of arboriculture and a commitment to safe working practices. Key Responsibilities
- Perform tree pruning, trimming, and shaping to maintain tree health and structure, and to ensure public safety.
- Safely fell and remove trees, including hazardous or diseased trees, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Plant new trees in urban and rural environments, ensuring proper site selection and installation.
- Conduct tree surveys and inspections to assess health, identify potential risks, and recommend management strategies.
- Operate and maintain chainsaws, climbing gear, and other arboricultural equipment safely and effectively.
- Provide expert advice to clients and colleagues on all aspects of tree care and management in Stoke-on-Trent .
Requirements
- Professional certification in Arboriculture (e.g., LANTRA, NPTC) is essential.
- Proven experience as an Arborist with a strong knowledge of tree biology, diseases, and pests.
- Proficiency in tree climbing techniques and the safe use of associated equipment.
- Experience operating chainsaws and other relevant arboricultural machinery.
- A valid driving license and willingness to travel to various work sites.
