Autism Support Assistant (ASC)
Location: Salisbury Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full-Time | Long-Term Pay Rate: £85–£100 per day

Supply Desk is recruiting a caring and enthusiastic Autism Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Salisbury.
You’ll support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), helping them develop communication skills, build confidence and gain greater independence in a supportive learning environment.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and wants to make a genuine difference to their education and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support.
Encourage communication, social interaction and personal development.
Help pupils manage sensory needs and emotional regulation.
Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
Adapt activities to suit individual learning needs.
Encourage independence and positive behaviour.
Promote pupils’ safety, wellbeing and inclusion.
Candidate Requirements
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND or autism is desirable.
A patient, empathetic and adaptable approach.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
A genuine passion for helping young people reach their potential.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
