About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and dedicated Automotive Electrician to join their busy service center located in Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK . This role is essential for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components in a variety of vehicles. You will work closely with a team of mechanics and technicians to ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and meet all electrical specifications, contributing to the overall customer satisfaction and operational excellence of the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, components, and systems in vehicles.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment.
Perform wiring modifications and upgrades as required for new installations or accessory fittings.
Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of all electrical work carried out, including parts and labor.
Advise customers on electrical maintenance and potential issues.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Automotive Electrician or in a similar electrical repair role.
Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, including lighting, power, and control circuits.
Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools and equipment.
Knowledge of automotive wiring diagrams and schematics.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet repair deadlines.
A commitment to high-quality workmanship and customer service.
