About the Role
Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Automotive Parts Manager to lead their parts department in Brighton . This critical role involves overseeing all aspects of the parts operation, including inventory management, procurement, sales, and customer service. You will manage a team of parts advisors and technicians, ensuring efficient stock control, accurate pricing, and timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of automotive parts and systems, and a commitment to maximizing profitability while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction, contributing to the success of the dealership's aftersales services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock of parts to meet customer and workshop demand while minimizing holding costs.
- Oversee the procurement of parts from suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring timely deliveries.
- Lead, train, and motivate the parts department team to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional service.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase parts sales and profitability, including promotions and special offers.
- Maintain accurate records of all parts transactions, stock movements, and financial performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an Automotive Parts Department , with significant management experience.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts, components, and their applications across various vehicle makes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and dealership management systems (DMS).
- Ability to analyze sales data and develop effective business strategies.
