Automotive Test Engineer (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Automotive Test Engineer to join their expanding team on a fully remote basis, supporting operations often connected to their Liverpool facilities. This role focuses on the planning, execution, and analysis of tests for automotive components, systems, and vehicles. You will be instrumental in ensuring that products meet stringent performance, safety, and regulatory standards. Working remotely, you will collaborate with engineers across various disciplines to define test procedures, interpret results, and drive improvements. This is an ideal position for a self-motivated engineer who excels in an independent work setting and contributes to product quality from afar.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans and procedures for automotive components and systems.
• Execute tests, collect data, and meticulously document results using appropriate software and tools.
• Analyze test data to identify performance issues, defects, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with design and development engineers to troubleshoot issues and validate solutions.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment as needed, often coordinating remotely with on-site technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in automotive testing and validation.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and data acquisition systems.
• Strong understanding of automotive components and systems, including powertrain, chassis, and electronics.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a remote capacity .
