About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Remote Power Electronics Engineer to drive innovation in their power conversion technologies. This fully remote position allows you to work from your preferred location in the UK, contributing to the design and development of high-efficiency power supplies, inverters, and converters. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test power electronic circuits and systems, including SMPS, inverters, and DC-DC converters.
- Perform detailed circuit simulations and analyses to optimize performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Select appropriate components and materials for power electronic applications.
- Develop and implement test plans for validating power electronic designs.
- Collaborate with firmware engineers and mechanical designers to ensure integrated system performance.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in power electronics technology and recommend new approaches.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Electronics.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing power electronic systems.
- Strong theoretical understanding and practical experience with semiconductor devices (MOSFETs, IGBTs) and control strategies.
- Proficiency in simulation software such as SPICE, PLECS, or MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience with EMI/EMC design considerations for power electronics.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote setting.
