About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Automotive Design Engineer to lead innovative projects within their cutting-edge research and development facility in Liverpool . This role involves the conceptualization, design, and development of new automotive components and systems, focusing on performance, aesthetics, and manufacturability. You will work with a team of talented engineers and designers, utilizing advanced CAD software and simulation tools to bring concepts to life. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of automotive components and systems from concept to production.
• Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, FEA) for design and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and testing to ensure design feasibility and performance.
• Conduct design reviews, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to optimize designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall technical direction of the design team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive design engineering .
• Proven expertise in CAD modeling, surface modeling, and engineering analysis.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials used in the automotive industry.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
