About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Test Engineer to join their team in Derby . You will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing tests for various automotive components and systems, ensuring they meet rigorous performance and safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and procedures for automotive components and systems.
- Conduct physical testing on vehicles and components, including performance, durability, and environmental testing.
- Operate and maintain various test equipment, data acquisition systems, and instrumentation.
- Analyze test data, interpret results, and generate detailed test reports with recommendations.
- Collaborate with design and development engineers to troubleshoot issues identified during testing.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in automotive testing or a similar engineering test environment.
- Proficiency with data acquisition systems and analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, LabVIEW).
- Knowledge of automotive systems, components, and testing methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
