Automotive Test Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and technically proficient Automotive Test Engineer to join their research and development team in Oxford . Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop test plans and procedures for automotive components and systems according to specifications.
• Set up and operate testing equipment, including environmental chambers, vibration rigs, and data acquisition systems.
• Execute tests, accurately record test data, and perform initial analysis of results.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test setups, equipment, and test articles.
• Document test findings, create detailed test reports, and present results to engineering teams.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Automotive Test Engineer or in a similar testing role.
• Familiarity with various testing methodologies and equipment used in the automotive industry.
• Experience with data acquisition systems and analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, LabVIEW).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a laboratory environment.
