About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Buyer specializing in Automotive Components to join their team in Birmingham . Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure a wide range of automotive components and raw materials, ensuring quality standards and delivery schedules are met.
• Negotiate favourable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost reductions and improve value.
• Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular reviews, and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand material requirements and forecast future needs.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier information, and inventory levels.
• Stay informed about market trends, new materials, and technologies relevant to the automotive sector.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Buyer , preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of automotive components and supply chain dynamics.
• Proven negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings.
• Experience working with ERP systems and procurement software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
