About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and efficient Catering Operations Manager to lead their catering division in Oxford . This senior role is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of all catering services, ensuring profitability, exceptional quality, and outstanding client satisfaction. You will manage a team of professionals, oversee budgets, and maintain the highest standards of food safety and operational excellence. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with a comprehensive understanding of the catering industry and a proven ability to drive success in a demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire catering operation, including event planning, food production, service delivery, and financial management.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, profitability, and client retention.
- Manage and motivate the catering team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and control inventory to optimize costs.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop new business opportunities and service offerings for Oxford and beyond.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in catering management or hospitality operations management.
- Demonstrable success in managing P&L, budgets, and operational teams.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and UK catering regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement operational improvements and strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
