Chemical Engineer - Pharmaceutical Scale-Up

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute the scale-up of chemical processes from laboratory to pilot and commercial manufacturing scales.
• Design and specify process equipment for new manufacturing trains, ensuring compliance with GMP standards.
• Develop and validate process operating procedures and control strategies.
• Conduct process performance studies, identifying areas for optimization in yield, throughput, and cost.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs to ensure all processes meet stringent industry requirements.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, implement corrective actions, and document all process changes meticulously.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in process development and scale-up, with a strong focus on the pharmaceutical industry .
• Proven knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA).
• Experience with process modeling, simulation, and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of reaction engineering, separation technologies, and process control.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional team collaboration skills.
