About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-driven Chemical Plant Operations Manager to oversee and lead their operations in Belfast . This senior position requires strong leadership skills to manage day-to-day plant activities, ensuring optimal production efficiency, stringent quality control, and unwavering adherence to safety and environmental regulations. You will be responsible for a team of skilled professionals, driving continuous improvement initiatives and managing resources effectively to achieve operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of chemical plant operations, including production, maintenance, and logistics.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of plant supervisors and operators.
- Oversee maintenance schedules and ensure the reliability of plant equipment.
- Manage operational budgets and capital expenditure projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Significant experience (7+ years) in chemical plant operations, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Proven track record of improving operational performance and safety metrics.
- Strong understanding of chemical processes and plant equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
