About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Chemical Engineer to join their esteemed technical team based in Belfast . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of new chemical processes and modifications to existing ones.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of chemical and process engineers.
- Conduct complex engineering calculations, process modeling, and feasibility studies for capital projects.
- Oversee the procurement, installation, and commissioning of new process equipment and plant upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with R&D, operations, and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues and improve plant performance.
Requirements
- A Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering .
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in the chemical or related process industries, with a strong focus on design and project execution.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects from conception through to completion.
- Expertise in process simulation software, thermodynamic modeling, and P&ID development.
- Deep understanding of chemical reaction engineering, separation processes, and process control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
