Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Remote Chemical Process Engineer to join their globally distributed team, supporting operations based in Belfast . In this role, you will focus on designing, analyzing, and optimizing chemical processes from a remote setting, collaborating virtually with on-site teams. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel chemical processes, ensuring scalability and economic viability.
- Conduct process simulations and modeling to predict performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide remote technical support to manufacturing sites, troubleshooting process deviations and operational issues.
- Analyze process data to identify trends, optimize operating conditions, and enhance product quality.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including R&D, operations, and quality assurance, via virtual platforms.
- Develop and update process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety guidelines for remote accessibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering .
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in process engineering, scale-up, or plant support.
- Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD).
- Strong understanding of chemical kinetics , thermodynamics, and mass transfer principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage projects effectively in a remote environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience using collaboration tools.
