Chemical Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Chemical Process Engineer to contribute to their operations in Brighton . This role is essential for supporting the day-to-day running of chemical processes, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing incremental improvements. You will work closely with the production team to ensure processes are running efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Support the operation and maintenance of chemical processes, ensuring optimal performance in Brighton .
• Troubleshoot and resolve process deviations and equipment malfunctions.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.
• Participate in process hazard reviews and risk assessments.
• Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and batch records.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure product specifications are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in chemical process engineering or a similar role.
• Familiarity with chemical processing equipment and unit operations.
• Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in a chemical environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
