About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Chemical Process Engineer to join their manufacturing facility in Plymouth . This role is vital for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of chemical production processes, contributing to product quality and operational excellence. You will be involved in process monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting, working closely with the operations team on-site in Devon. This position offers a hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, perfect for an engineer keen on developing their practical skills and making a direct contribution to the company's success.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor chemical process performance and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency and yield.
- Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in the design and implementation of process modifications and upgrades.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality control teams to resolve operational issues.
- Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and operational guidelines.
Requirements
- BEng or equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a process engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical production environment.
- Solid understanding of chemical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and reaction kinetics.
- Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to work on-site in Plymouth and participate in plant operations.
