About the Role
Our client is looking for a dynamic Childcare Development Officer to join their team based in Oxford . This hybrid role involves supporting and developing high-quality childcare provision across the local area. You will work closely with nurseries, childminders, and other early years settings to ensure they meet required standards, offer professional development opportunities, and implement best practices. This is a rewarding position for someone passionate about improving early years care and education within their community, with a blend of office-based and field-based responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and support to childcare providers on meeting regulatory requirements, including Ofsted standards and safeguarding.
- Develop and deliver training programs and workshops for early years practitioners and managers.
- Conduct quality assurance visits and provide feedback to settings to drive improvement.
- Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and promote evidence-based practice.
- Facilitate networking opportunities and share best practices among childcare professionals in the area.
- Assist in the development and implementation of local childcare strategies and initiatives.
Requirements
- A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field (e.g., Level 4 or 5 Diploma).
- Significant experience in a leadership or advisory role within the early years sector.
- Thorough understanding of the EYFS framework , safeguarding, and quality improvement processes in childcare.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for travel within the region.
