About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and strategic Childcare Development Officer to support the growth and improvement of childcare services in the Oxford area. This role involves working with local providers, local authorities, and other stakeholders to enhance the quality, accessibility, and sustainability of childcare. You will play a key part in developing initiatives, providing expert advice, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and accessibility of childcare services within the designated area.
- Provide guidance and support to childcare providers on business development, marketing, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor the childcare sector, identifying trends, gaps in provision, and areas requiring development.
- Organise and deliver training and networking events for childcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and quality standards across childcare settings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, Ofsted, and childcare providers.
Requirements
- A relevant qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or Business Management (e.g., Level 4 or above).
- Significant experience in the childcare sector, with a strong understanding of policy and practice.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, strategic planning, or service development.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of funding streams, business sustainability, and quality improvement frameworks in childcare.
