About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Childcare Development Officer to work remotely, focusing on enhancing the quality and accessibility of childcare services across Scotland . You will be responsible for researching, developing, and promoting best practices in early years education, providing support and guidance to childcare providers through online channels. This role requires a strategic thinker who can identify emerging trends and challenges in the sector and develop innovative solutions to address them. You will contribute significantly to shaping a positive and effective childcare landscape, working independently from a remote location.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and analyze current trends and best practices in early years education and childcare provision.
- Develop resources, guidelines, and training materials for childcare providers, delivered through online platforms.
- Provide remote consultancy and support to childcare settings on curriculum development, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
- Facilitate online workshops and webinars for childcare professionals.
- Contribute to policy development and strategic planning for childcare services at a national level.
Requirements
- A relevant degree in Education, Childhood Studies, Social Work, or a related field.
- Substantial experience working within the early years sector, with a strong understanding of the Scottish curriculum for excellence.
- Proven ability to research, analyze, and synthesize information effectively.
- Excellent digital literacy and experience using online collaboration and communication tools.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills for delivering online training and support.
