About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Civil Engineer with a focus on site development to join their team in Sheffield . This role involves the planning and design of infrastructure for new developments, including roads, drainage, and utilities. You will work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution from concept to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a hands-on approach to design and project delivery in a hybrid work setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and prepare plans for site infrastructure, including grading, drainage, roadways, and utilities.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and due diligence reviews.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain permits and approvals.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Provide construction support and site inspections as needed.
Requirements
- BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in site development and civil design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD , Civil 3D, and relevant drainage design software (e.g., MicroDrainage).
- Strong understanding of local planning and building regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a hybrid environment.
