About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced and hands-on Construction Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at their construction sites in and around Sheffield . You will be responsible for ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, directly supervising trades and laborers. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a keen eye for detail to manage site activities effectively and resolve on-site challenges. You will play a vital role in the successful execution of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly supervise and manage site personnel, including trades, laborers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations on site, conducting daily safety checks.
- Monitor work quality and address any deficiencies or non-compliance promptly.
- Manage site logistics, including material handling, equipment usage, and site security.
- Report on site progress, issues, and resource requirements to the Project Manager or Site Manager.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Site Supervisor or a similar supervisory role in construction.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Relevant site safety certification (e.g., CSCS Supervisor card) is essential.
