About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and customer-focused Claims Adjuster to join their busy team in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling insurance claims efficiently and fairly, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to company policies. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong investigative skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with policyholders, witnesses, and third parties. You will act as the primary point of contact for claimants, guiding them through the claims process and providing clear, empathetic support, operating within a committed team dedicated to providing exceptional service from their Newcastle hub.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate insurance claims thoroughly, gathering evidence, interviewing involved parties, and assessing liability.
• Determine the extent of the insurer's liability and negotiate settlements with claimants or their representatives.
• Ensure all claim documentation is accurate, complete, and processed in a timely manner.
• Maintain clear and concise records of all claim activities and communications within the claims management system.
• Adhere to industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards throughout the claims handling process.
• Provide exceptional customer service, offering support and clear explanations to claimants during a stressful time.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a claims handling or adjusting role is essential.
• Solid understanding of insurance policies, legal requirements, and claims procedures.
