About the Role

Our client seeks a diligent and meticulous Compliance Officer to bolster their regulatory adherence team in Belfast . This critical role ensures that the firm operates in full compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies. You will be instrumental in monitoring business activities, identifying potential compliance risks, and implementing robust control measures. Working within a hybrid model that blends office and remote work, you will contribute to a culture of integrity and best practice within the financial services sector, safeguarding the company's reputation and operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain the firm's compliance framework and policies.
Conduct regular compliance monitoring and testing of business activities to identify breaches and risks.
Investigate potential compliance issues and prepare detailed reports with recommended corrective actions.
Advise business units on regulatory requirements and best practices.
Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly.
Assist with regulatory filings and respond to inquiries from regulatory bodies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience (3+ years) in a compliance, risk, or regulatory role within the financial services industry.
Strong knowledge of relevant UK financial regulations (e.g., FCA, PRA).
Excellent analytical and investigative skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
