About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and qualified Construction Health and Safety Officer to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . You will be responsible for ensuring that all construction sites comply with the latest health and safety legislation and company policies. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures on construction sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
• Investigate accidents and near misses, reporting findings and recommending corrective actions.
• Provide health and safety training and advice to site personnel and management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, and incidents.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer in the construction industry.
• Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation pertaining to construction.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a site team.
