About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Engineer to support their projects in the Cambridge area. You will assist the Project Manager and Site Manager in the planning, execution, and monitoring of construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and quality standards. This role is ideal for an aspiring engineer looking to gain hands-on experience in a challenging construction environment. You will be involved in a wide range of technical and logistical aspects of project delivery, contributing to successful outcomes and developing your engineering career.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and management of project schedules and resource plans.
- Support site operations by providing technical guidance and resolving engineering queries.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Prepare site reports, including progress updates, safety observations, and quality control checks.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
- Assist in the management of project documentation, including drawings, permits, and change orders.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a construction role, such as an internship or junior engineer position.
- Understanding of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management software is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
