Construction Site Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a hands-on and vigilant Construction Site Supervisor to oversee operations at various project sites in and around Sheffield . You will be responsible for supervising daily construction activities, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and excellent leadership skills to guide site teams and subcontractors. You will be instrumental in maintaining site organization, safety, and progress, contributing directly to the successful delivery of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of site personnel and subcontractors.
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Manage site logistics, including material delivery, storage, and waste management.
• Enforce health and safety policies, conducting toolbox talks and addressing unsafe practices promptly.
• Maintain site records, including daily reports, attendance, and incident logs.
• Liaise with the Project Manager and other stakeholders regarding site progress and issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor, Foreman, or similar role in the construction industry .
• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices on construction sites.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
