About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations on various building projects in Edinburgh . This role is critical for ensuring that construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for leading a team of skilled tradespeople, managing site logistics, and ensuring compliance with all project specifications and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong practical knowledge of construction methods and a proactive approach to problem-solving on site, contributing significantly to the successful completion of projects in Scotland.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct the work of construction crews on site, ensuring tasks are completed according to plan.
- Enforce strict health and safety regulations and conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
- Monitor the quality of workmanship and materials used, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Manage site resources, including equipment, tools, and materials, ensuring efficient utilization.
- Coordinate with the Site Manager and subcontractors to resolve on-site issues and maintain project schedules.
- Maintain daily site logs and report on progress, incidents, and any deviations from the plan.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Solid understanding of various construction trades, methods, and materials.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to construction sites.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
- A relevant trade qualification or certification (e.g., CSCS card).
