About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee operations at various building sites in and around Oxford . This role involves direct supervision of site activities, ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. You will be responsible for coordinating trades, managing materials, and maintaining clear communication between the site teams and project management. This is a practical, hands-on role for an individual who is passionate about construction and committed to delivering high-quality results on demanding construction projects .
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily site activities, ensuring work progresses according to the project schedule.
- Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations on site, conducting toolbox talks and site inductions.
- Ensure the quality of workmanship meets project specifications and company standards.
- Manage the day-to-day allocation of tasks to site operatives and subcontractors.
- Maintain site records, including daily logs, delivery notes, and inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with the Project Manager and other site personnel regarding progress and any issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role on construction sites .
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations .
- Valid CSCS card or equivalent qualification.
- Awareness of health, safety, and environmental best practices in construction.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
