Construction Site Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee operations on various construction sites in the Wolverhampton area. You will be responsible for ensuring that construction work is carried out efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. This role involves direct supervision of tradespeople, coordinating daily activities, and liaising with the Project Manager to ensure project milestones are met. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a practical understanding of construction processes and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day construction activities and ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications.
• Manage and direct site personnel, including trades and laborers, ensuring productivity.
• Enforce health and safety regulations on site, conducting regular safety checks and toolbox talks.
• Monitor progress of work and report any deviations or issues to the Project Manager.
• Ensure materials and equipment are available and utilized efficiently.
• Maintain good working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or Foreman in the construction industry.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, techniques, and building codes .
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Relevant trade qualification or vocational training in construction is highly desirable.
