About the Role
Our client is looking for a diligent and hands-on Construction Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations and personnel on construction sites in and around Nottingham . This role is crucial for ensuring that construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the specified quality standards. You will be the key point of contact on-site, responsible for coordinating trades, monitoring progress, and upholding safety regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical individual with strong leadership abilities to play a vital role in the successful execution of construction projects, contributing directly to the tangible completion of buildings and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct daily activities of construction site personnel and subcontractors.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations .
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality of work and identify any deviations or issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe construction site environment.
- Coordinate the delivery and use of materials and equipment on site.
- Report on site progress, challenges, and resource needs to the Site Manager.
- Foster a cooperative and productive working environment among site teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor , Foreman, or in a similar leadership role in construction.
- Thorough understanding of construction processes, techniques, and health and safety best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of basic site surveying and measurement techniques.
- Certification such as SSSTS or CSCS card is essential.
