About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent and hands-on Construction Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations and personnel on construction sites in and around Nottingham . This role is crucial for ensuring that construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the specified quality standards. You will be the key point of contact on-site, responsible for coordinating trades, monitoring progress, and upholding safety regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical individual with strong leadership abilities to play a vital role in the successful execution of construction projects, contributing directly to the tangible completion of buildings and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and direct daily activities of construction site personnel and subcontractors.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations .
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality of work and identify any deviations or issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe construction site environment.
Coordinate the delivery and use of materials and equipment on site.
Report on site progress, challenges, and resource needs to the Site Manager.
Foster a cooperative and productive working environment among site teams.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Supervisor , Foreman, or in a similar leadership role in construction.
Thorough understanding of construction processes, techniques, and health and safety best practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of basic site surveying and measurement techniques.
Certification such as SSSTS or CSCS card is essential.
