About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Control Systems Electrical Engineer to join their operations in Wolverhampton, West Midlands . This role is critical for the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced control systems that drive operational efficiency and automation. You will work on projects involving PLC programming, HMI development, and the integration of sophisticated electrical hardware. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop PLC logic and HMI interfaces for industrial automation systems.
- Specify and select electrical components for control systems, including sensors, actuators, and drives.
- Perform electrical wiring, installation, and commissioning of control panels and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with existing control systems, implementing timely and effective solutions.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and operations teams to integrate control systems seamlessly into production processes.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including electrical drawings, programming code, and user manuals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering , Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting industrial control systems.
- Proficiency with major PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI software.
- Strong understanding of automation principles , robotics, and industrial networking.
- Experience with electrical schematics, panel layout, and safety standards (e.g., BS EN 60204).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
