About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Corporate Communications Manager to lead their communications function remotely, with a focus on the Bristol region. You will be responsible for shaping and disseminating the company's internal and external messaging, managing stakeholder relations, and overseeing crisis communications. This senior role requires a proactive leader with extensive experience in corporate communications, a deep understanding of media dynamics, and the ability to develop compelling narratives that enhance reputation and build trust, all within a fully remote, agile, and results-driven work culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive corporate communication strategies for internal and external audiences.
- Manage all aspects of media relations, including press releases, media inquiries, and spokesperson training.
- Oversee internal communications to ensure employees are informed and engaged.
- Develop and execute crisis communication plans to effectively manage sensitive situations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, media, and community leaders.
- Monitor industry trends and advise senior leadership on communication strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, media relations, or public affairs.
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful communication strategies in complex environments.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of storytelling.
- Experience in crisis communication management and stakeholder engagement.
