About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join their dedicated AI Platforms team in Reading . You will be instrumental in building and optimizing robust data pipelines and infrastructure that support our advanced machine learning and AI initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of data systems, ETL processes, and cloud technologies, ensuring that our data scientists and ML engineers have reliable access to high-quality data. You will play a critical role in empowering data-driven decision-making and innovation across the organization from our Reading hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient ETL/ELT data pipelines for AI and ML workloads.
- Develop and manage data warehousing solutions and data lakes on cloud platforms.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand their data requirements.
- Optimize data processing performance and database queries for large datasets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with experience supporting AI/ML projects.
- Proficiency in SQL and programming languages like Python or Scala.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Azure Data Factory).
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and distributed systems.
