About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Data Manager specializing in Clinical Trials to join their innovative team in Reading . This hybrid role is central to the integrity and success of clinical research, responsible for managing, validating, and cleaning clinical trial data to ensure its accuracy and reliability. You will work closely with clinical operations, biostatistics, and programming teams to uphold data standards and contribute to the timely completion of studies. This position offers a dynamic work environment with a balance of remote flexibility and on-site collaboration, vital for developing life-saving pharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of clinical databases (e.g., EDC systems).
- Develop and execute data validation plans and data cleaning procedures.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the clinical trial lifecycle.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to define data management requirements and timelines.
- Generate data management reports and metrics for project status updates.
- Train and mentor junior data management staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Life Sciences.
- Proven experience in clinical data management within the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
- Proficiency with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems (e.g., Medidata Rave, Oracle Clinical).
- Strong understanding of clinical trial processes, GCP, and data standards (e.g., CDISC SDTM).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
