About the Role
Our client is searching for an experienced Data Protection Lawyer to join their esteemed firm in Cambridge . This role is critical in advising clients on compliance with GDPR, the UK GDPR, and other data privacy regulations. You will guide organisations through data protection strategies, privacy impact assessments, and data breach responses, working closely with technology, marketing, and compliance teams. Key Responsibilities
- Advise on all aspects of data protection law, including GDPR compliance.
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and privacy audits.
- Assist clients with data breach notifications and responses.
- Draft and review privacy policies, data processing agreements, and consent mechanisms.
- Provide training and guidance on data protection best practices.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities such as the ICO.
Requirements
- Qualified Lawyer with significant expertise in data protection and privacy law .
- In-depth knowledge of GDPR, UK GDPR, and related legislation.
- Experience in advising on data subject rights, international data transfers, and marketing compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
