About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Research Scientist to join their Neuroscience division in Reading . This is an on-site role focused on advancing our understanding of neurological disorders. You will be responsible for designing and executing innovative research projects, analyzing complex biological data, and contributing to the development of novel therapeutic strategies. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated scientist with a proven track record in neuroscience research and a passion for discovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, conduct, and interpret in vivo and in vitro experiments relevant to neurological diseases.
- Develop and validate novel assays for measuring neuronal function, synaptic plasticity, and disease pathology.
- Analyze complex datasets using statistical methods and contribute to data interpretation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medicinal chemists and pharmacologists, to advance research programs.
- Present research findings at internal meetings and contribute to scientific publications.
Requirements
- PhD in Neuroscience, Biology, Pharmacology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in neuroscience research.
- Proven expertise in experimental techniques relevant to neurobiology (e.g., electrophysiology, immunohistochemistry, behavioral analysis).
- Strong understanding of molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying neurological disorders.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
