About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Drilling Operations Supervisor to oversee and manage drilling operations in Cardiff . This critical role involves ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of drilling campaigns, adhering to the highest industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for managing drilling crews, equipment, and resources, making key operational decisions on the rig floor, and ensuring all activities comply with company policies and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all aspects of drilling operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Manage drilling crews, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and scheduling.
• Oversee the execution of the drilling program, making necessary adjustments to operating parameters.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Monitor drilling equipment performance and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
• Manage inventory of drilling supplies and consumables, ensuring availability when needed.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a driller, with a significant portion in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Proven track record in managing complex drilling operations, including onshore and offshore environments.
• Strong understanding of drilling fluids, cementation, well control, and directional drilling techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of drilling equipment, tools, and associated technologies.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant certifications in well control (e.g., IWCF) and safety management.
