About the Role
Our client is actively recruiting for a highly competent Drilling Operations Supervisor to oversee all aspects of drilling activities in and around Newcastle upon Tyne . This pivotal role ensures that drilling operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory standards and company policies. You will be responsible for managing drilling crews, equipment, and resources to achieve operational objectives while maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards. This position offers a significant opportunity to contribute to a major energy operator's success, providing leadership and technical expertise in a critical operational function within the Oil & Gas domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all daily drilling operations, ensuring adherence to drilling programs and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on all drilling sites.
- Manage drilling crews, provide technical guidance, and foster a strong safety culture.
- Monitor drilling performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Oversee the maintenance and integrity of drilling equipment and tools.
- Liaise with company representatives, service providers, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Drilling Engineer or Supervisor in the Oil & Gas sector .
- Strong knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to manage complex operations and motivate diverse teams effectively.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various operational sites.
