About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical E-commerce Analyst to join their growing team in Plymouth . This role is vital for understanding customer behavior, optimizing the online shopping experience, and driving sales performance through data analysis. You will be responsible for collecting, interpreting, and reporting on various e-commerce metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges. The ideal candidate possesses strong quantitative skills and a passion for using data to inform strategic decisions and improve online business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from various e-commerce sources, including website analytics, sales data, and marketing platforms.
- Develop dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, average order value, customer acquisition cost, and customer lifetime value.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in e-commerce data, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve website performance and marketing effectiveness.
- Conduct A/B testing analysis and provide recommendations for website optimization and user experience improvements.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends, analyzing their impact on our e-commerce performance.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and IT teams to ensure data accuracy and to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within an e-commerce or digital marketing context.
- Strong proficiency in web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation is a significant advantage.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
