About the Role
Our client is looking for a nurturing and dedicated Early Years Educator to join a reputable nursery in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for providing a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for young children, focusing on their early development through play-based learning. This role is crucial in supporting the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of children aged 0-5, working collaboratively with a team of passionate professionals to deliver outstanding care and education. You will contribute to creating memorable and enriching experiences that lay the foundation for lifelong learning within a child-centered setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote child development across all learning areas.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children through vigilant supervision and adherence to safeguarding policies.
- Create a welcoming and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the smooth running of the nursery and contribute to team planning and reviews.
Requirements
- Relevant childcare qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with young children in an early years setting.
- A strong understanding of child development theories and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Excellent communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to safeguarding children.
