About the Role
Our client is seeking a passionate and skilled Early Years Educator for a part-time position within their reputable nursery in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational experiences to young children, supporting their learning, development, and well-being in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. This hybrid role offers flexibility, combining hands-on work within the nursery with potential remote administrative or planning tasks. You will be an integral part of a committed team dedicated to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning activities suitable for children aged 0-5.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress, contributing to their individual learning journeys.
- Ensure the safety, welfare, and security of all children in accordance with nursery policies and procedures.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting effective communication.
- Contribute to the creation of a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Undertake administrative tasks or professional development activities remotely as required.
Requirements
- Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with young children in an early years setting.
- A thorough understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to both on-site and remote working requirements.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to early childhood education.
