Early Years Educator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and dedicated Early Years Educator to join their highly regarded nursery in Portsmouth . This role is central to delivering exceptional early years education and care, fostering a stimulating and inclusive environment for children aged 0-5. You will be responsible for key children, planning and delivering engaging activities that support individual learning journeys in line with the EYFS framework. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement creative and stimulating learning experiences for your key children, aligned with the EYFS.
• Observe, assess, and record children's progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date learning journals.
• Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all children in your care, adhering to safeguarding policies.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, promoting effective communication.
• Create an inspiring and welcoming learning environment that encourages children's curiosity and independence.
• Contribute to the overall positive ethos and reputation of the nursery.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Early Years Education .
• Experience working as an Early Years Educator or similar role.
• Thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework .
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection.
• Strong communication, observation, and assessment skills.
• Ability to manage a small group of key children effectively.
