About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Environmental Cleaning Officer to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across their facilities in Liverpool . This hybrid role involves both on-site supervision and management duties, as well as remote administrative and reporting tasks. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring cleaning protocols, managing a team of cleaning staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This is a key position focused on maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for everyone.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor cleaning schedules and procedures for all designated areas.
- Supervise and train cleaning staff, providing clear instructions and performance feedback.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleaning quality and identify maintenance or safety issues.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring efficient use and proper storage.
- Liaise with facility management and other departments to address specific cleaning needs.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, staff performance, and supply usage, including for remote reporting.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the cleaning industry .
- Sound knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices in sanitation .
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage administrative tasks and utilize digital tools for remote coordination.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations.
